Warranty

Scymtek cymbals carry a one year warranty against manufacturing defects from date of purchase.  We require all cymbals with warranty issues be returned to us for evaluation.  A copy of your original purchase receipt is required.  Quality is important to us and we use these opportunities to track the cymbal in question which helps us to ensure quality and continue to improve our products.  All shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (the return and the replacement).

Please email us here with photos of your damaged cymbal for an initial evaluation.  A return authorization number (RA #) is required before sending your cymbal in for a final evaluation and warranty decision.  Shipments sent without an RA# written on the outside of the box will be refused.  Once you have been issued an RA#, please return the cymbal to:

You must enclose a copy of your original numbered and dated purchase receipt with your cymbal to qualify for warranty service.  Our warranty does not cover- a cymbal that has been dropped or abused, played with aggressive or excessive force, shows center hole wear from improper stand setup, bought second hand, ordered with custom specifications, or previously replaced under warranty. Cymbals received at artist cost can be repurchased for 50% of their original cost (within the warranty period) when the broken cymbal is returned to us for recycling.  Splashes, chinas, and FX cymbals are delicate instruments and not covered by warranty so please take care of them!

Please package your broken cymbal in a new, clean box from your local Post Office or UPS Store with adequate packing for protection. Do not use pizza boxes or anything similar.  Cymbals returned in anything other than clean packaging will be refused.

Note: Customers outside of the United States must return cymbals directly to the distributor/dealer that they purchased them from.  The distributor/dealer will handle the warranty transaction from that point on.

To help you avoid any warranty issues, please read our information on Care, Playing, and Selection.
